Nottingham Rugby Club are one of the oldest clubs in the world having been founded in 1877. When the game went professional the club struggled and are now competing in the second tier of English rugby the RFU Championship (formerly National League One). The club share Meadow Lane with Notts County Football Club having moved from Beeston in 2006.
